Neal is a southpaw welterweight whose game still starts with the left hand, a hard jab, and the confidence to trade in the pocket when opponents cannot move him off his preferred line.
The career split is easy to read now. Neal's 2018-19 run turned him into a real contender, but the years after his 2020 septic-shock recovery have been much more uneven, with losses to elite or dangerous welterweights offset by wins over names like Vicente Luque, Santiago Ponzinibbio, and Rafael dos Anjos.
