Gaethje opened with the expected calf kicks and power looks, but Holloway quickly proved he could meet him at lightweight speed. The defining moment came at the horn, when Holloway's spinning back kick smashed Gaethje's nose and created an injury Gaethje had to manage for the rest of the fight.
