1:58Round 1
The opening round settled into a cautious counter-striking battle, with both men waiting for the other to lead. Ramos opened with a body kick and showed the danger of his counters, but Makhachev began to change the terms by pressuring into the first takedown attempt and making Ramos work from underneath. The Russian's control and positional awareness limited the submission windows, while Ramos's movement and isolated right hand were enough to keep the round competitive. Makhachev's cleaner, more purposeful work gave him the clearer edge.

Ramos's corner asked him to stop waiting and lead, but the counter-striking pattern remained: Makhachev landed high and Ramos answered with a flurry. Makhachev was more effective at turning those exchanges into pressure, mixing his left hand and clinch work while keeping Ramos from settling into a clean takedown or submission sequence. Ramos's jab and power still made the entries costly, yet Makhachev's cleaner combinations began to mark him up. By the final minute, Makhachev was putting his offense together more consistently and had taken control of the round.

14:24Round 3
Makhachev opened the final round with his most forceful sequence, landing heavy punches and then hurting Ramos with a hard knee in the clinch. Ramos recovered enough to defend from the mat, using overhooks and the fence to buy time, but the position also restricted his ability to create the hip movement needed for an armbar or sweep. Makhachev kept his hips heavy, pinned Ramos's head near the fence and added accurate ground strikes while refusing to give up the top position.
