Pre-fight analysis — how we saw it going in
Case for Rosas Jr.
Rosas Jr. made the fight about transitions from the opening minute. The spinning kick created the first scramble, and his early takedown led to the sustained top pressure and positional control that defined all three rounds.
Case for Gutierrez
Gutierrez's best route was to make every grappling exchange costly. He found a first-round guillotine threat, fought through Rosas's passing and back-taking attempts, and had moments of top pressure, but he could not keep the younger fighter from returning to control.
