The Read
Style, strengths, and defining traits.
Gugnon is a 25-year-old French lightweight from Sarrebourg, in Moselle, who took his UFC debut without a Contender Series audition and on the back of five straight wins, then made it six by submitting Milos Janicic with a rear-naked choke 81 seconds into his first Octagon appearance. Like his opponent, he has never won a decision: six of his ten wins are knockouts and four are submissions. His two losses are a stoppage by Mark Ewen on his 2023 Bellator debut and a decision to Samvel Vardanyan in 2024; every win since has come inside the distance, three of them under the ARES FC banner.
