What happened
Bashi started fast and put Delgado down in the first, but the fight turned on a single left hook in the closing minute that hurt Bashi badly. From there Delgado took over, picking his opponent apart methodically through the second and third to bank the damage that decided the cards. Bashi is the grappler and the sharper long-game player — 14-1 with a back-hunting scramble game that turns small openings into rear-naked chokes. His lone loss was a decision, and he answered it by choking out John Yannis; if he gets Delgado to the mat, the finish rate flips his way.
Case for Delgado
