Case for Cortez
Cortez is the proven answer to a very specific UFC 329 question: can Wang Cong's fast-start striking hold up once a real flyweight wrestler refuses to strike at range? Cortez has already shown, against opponents from Jasudavicius to Araújo, that she can turn three rounds into a fence-and-mat fight even when she is not the cleaner boxer. If she gets Wang defending level changes, mat returns and clinch exits instead of planting for combinations, the matchup becomes much more about control and pace than highlight striking.
Case for Wang
Wang is the more volatile upside side because the UFC sample is still small but already useful. She iced Victoria Leonardo in 62 seconds, then showed in the Ariane da Silva and Eduarda Moura wins that she can hold range, punish legs and stay composed over 15 minutes. The open question is still the same one this page should answer for searchers: has Wang really solved the wrestling layer yet, or has she simply not been forced to show it? If her takedown defense is good enough to keep this upright, her speed and cleaner kicking game can make Cortez chase all night.
